Upon arrival in Lima, the “City of Kings,” you will be welcomed by our English-speaking guide who will escort you to your hotel. You begin the day with a relaxing breakfast and plenty of time to pack your luggage. At the agreed time, we will arrange your transfer to Lima Airport, where you will board your flight to Arequipa.
Upon arrival in Arequipa, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is entirely free for you to explore this beautiful city at your own pace.

A beautiful, impeccably maintained boutique hotel located in the heart of Arequipa. The rooftop terrace, where breakfast is also served, offers unobstructed views of the magnificent surroundings and the mountain peaks encircling the city. The service at this hotel is exceptionally welcoming.
In the early morning, you depart from Arequipa and head towards the valley. The route ascends along the slopes of the Chachani volcano to the high plateau of Pampa Cañahuas (at an altitude of 4,000 meters). In this nature reserve, you may spot groups of vicuñas, the rarest and most elusive of the South American camelids.
In Vizcachani, you’ll make a short stop to enjoy coca tea at a small restaurant run by the local community. This traditional Andean beverage helps you acclimatize to the altitude.
You then continue through Tojra, an excellent area for spotting Andean birds. Along the way, you visit Chucchura and Patapampa, a high-altitude plateau at around 4,800 meters. Here, you’ll find the strategically located “El Mirador de los Andes,” a viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of the Chila range and volcanoes such as Mismi (5,597 m), Misti (5,825 m), and Chachani (6,075 m), as well as glaciers like Ampato (6,288 m), Sabancaya (5,976 m), and Hualca Hualca (6,288 m).
After a four-hour drive, you arrive in Chivay, the main town in the Colca Valley. On the way to your hotel, you’ll make a brief stop to explore the charming town of Chivay and visit the local market.
A charming, rustic lodge nestled in the breathtaking Colca Valley, surrounded by pre-Inca terraces and the Colca River. Inspired by traditional architectural styles, the lodge exudes a warm, natural ambiance. Here, you can fully unwind in the unique thermal baths with mineral-rich waters or indulge in a treatment at the spa. Staying here is not only comfortable but also the perfect way to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Colca Valley.
In the early morning, you will drive to the “Mirador Cruz del Condor” viewpoint, located between Maca and Cabanaconde, one of the deepest parts of the canyon. Here, you can enjoy a spectacular view, gazing 1,200 meters down into the canyon. This is also the ideal spot to witness the legendary condor, the bird with the largest wingspan in the world, majestically soaring on the morning thermals above the gorge against the stunning mountain backdrop.
After this extraordinary experience, you will stop in several picturesque villages to visit their colonial churches.
Following these visits, you bid farewell to your guide and continue the journey with your Spanish-speaking driver through the Altiplano landscapes to Puno. Along the way, you will reach an average altitude of 4,500 meters. After approximately six hours of driving, you will arrive in Puno, a city situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
This “bed & breakfast” in the truest sense of the word is run by a family that has lived on the small reed island for three generations. The warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere allow your hosts to introduce you to life on the islands and the traditions and culture of the Uros. Staying on the islands means you are far from the tourist spots, allowing you to fully enjoy the uninterrupted views of the vast lake. At night, the sky is illuminated by a stunning display of stars. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the food is excellent.
One of the highlights of any trip to Peru is a visit to Lake Titicaca, and during your stay, you will enjoy a unique overnight experience at the Amalia Titicaca Lodge, located on a floating Uros reed island.
This lodge, with only two rooms, offers stunning lake views from every bedroom. Its location immerses you in the cultural, natural, and historical richness of these extraordinary islands. After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, it’s time to bid farewell and return to the mainland. You’ll spend the night in the city of Puno, as your train departs early the next morning.

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the train station in Puno, where you will board the Titicaca Train. This spectacular journey begins in Puno and takes you northward to the historic city of Cusco. The route passes through the breathtaking Peruvian Altiplano, surrounded by the majestic Andes and vast plains where vicuñas and alpacas roam. From the observation car with a bar, you can fully enjoy the stunning scenery. A gourmet lunch is served aboard one of the four dining cars. To enhance the experience, you’ll be treated to traditional dances and music throughout the journey. Upon arrival in Cusco, a Spanish-speaking driver will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Afterward, your adventure continues to two remarkable attractions in the Sacred Valley: the Maras salt ponds and Moray. At the Maras salt ponds, you’ll learn about the traditional salt extraction methods that date back to Inca times. This unique salt gained worldwide recognition when renowned Peruvian chefs began incorporating it into their dishes.
Next, head to the circular terraces of Moray, hidden among the hills and resembling a Greek amphitheater. Surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks, Moray served as an open-air agricultural laboratory, allowing the Incas to adapt crops to different environmental conditions.
After completing your tour, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, bringing your day of exploration to a perfect close. The hotel is located in Ollantaytambo, where you can spend the evening at your leisure. The charming town of Ollantaytambo is renowned as one of the few places in Peru where the original Inca-era urban planning has been preserved and is still in use today. Tomorrow morning, your train departs from here for your 2-day Inca Trail adventure.

Your 2-day Inca Trail adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel by our guide, who will take you to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll disembark at ‘Kilometer 104,’ the starting point of the hike toward Machu Picchu. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Inca ruins of Chachabamba (2,150 m), known for its intricate irrigation channels and expert stone masonry.
Your journey continues along misty forest trails, moss-covered steps, and numerous breathtaking viewpoints, leading to the well-preserved and impressive Wiñay Wayna. After a lunch break, the trail ascends further, bringing you to Inti Punku, the iconic ‘Sun Gate,’ where you’ll be rewarded with a stunning first view of Machu Picchu.
As night falls, a secondary trail takes you to the village of Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night at your hotel.

Baggage: For this 2-day trek, carry only a small daypack. Your larger luggage will be securely stored and will be ready for you at your hotel in Cusco the following day.

Day 12
An early start this morning is essential to catch the first bus to Machu Picchu (a 20-minute ride) and enjoy the best, uninterrupted views of the sunrise over the main complex, before the crowds arrive. Your private guide will be waiting to provide you with a personalized, informative two-hour tour.
IMPORTANT:
The visit to Machu Picchu is limited to the designated Circuit 3B. This route takes you through the agricultural terraces directly to the lower section of the complex. If you wish to explore a different, more extensive circuit, it is necessary to purchase an additional entry ticket for the day. Details about the routes can be found here: link.
Around midday, you will return to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a car transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
Machu Picchu
situated at an altitude of 2,430 meters in the Andes, is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites of the Inca Empire. Built in the 15th century, it was likely intended as a royal estate or religious center. This masterpiece of Inca architecture consists of temples, terraces, and water channels ingeniously integrated into the mountainous landscape. It remained hidden from the outside world for centuries until its rediscovery in 1911 by American explorer Hiram Bingham. Today, Machu Picchu stands as a symbol of the remarkable culture and engineering skills of the Inca civilization.
At the agreed time, a Spanish-speaking driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport.
Flight: Cusco to Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, you will be greeted by a Spanish-speaking driver and transferred to your hotel.

Visit the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its colonial architecture, beautiful squares, and the impressive cathedral.
